LEFT AND RIGHT VERSION OF CONVECTORS
Did you know that in our product range there is an option for left and right versions of FOKS convectors?
First of all, it should be said that FOKS has two models in which it does not matter whether the convector is left or right - these are FOKS DWARF, FOKS DWARF REST - bench convector (with grille or desk) and convector FOKS CLOUD - floor convector without fan. These models can be mounted with both left and right connections, as their construction is symmetrical.
The problem occurs with floor convectors FOKS SPIRIT and FOKS BREEZE and bench FOKS COMPAKT, ie. convectors with a fan, as well as for FOKS ELEMENT - wall convector.
Let's start with the convectors with a fan - these models have a specific place for the fan and heat exchanger. This means that if we want the convector to be installed in the standard way (applies to most types of rooms *) - the heat exchanger is under the window and the fan is to the room - it will have pipe connections on the left and the power cable will be on the right. In other words, when we look from the room to the window and the convector fan is to the room (correct installation), then the pipe connections will be on the left.
"Okay, but I want the pipe holes to be on the right?" "Do I have to install the convector in the 'wrong' way?"
No, this is not necessary :) FOKS always has a solution - in this case the right version of the convector is the answer you are looking for. The right version is a mirror version of the standard - left version. This means that if you look from the room to the window, the holes in the tub connection are on the right and the cable duct on the left, but the fan and heat exchanger remain in place. All you have to do is add the letter "R" to the order code for such a convector model. For example FPKV 160/9/28-S-R (the letter "S" means silver aluminum frame).
For FOKS ELEMENT wall convectors, the right version only means that the opening in the thermostatic head housing is on the right. The same applies to their code as to the code of convectors with a fan, namely that the letter 'R' must be added to the order code.
Now you know.
* standard way of installation is when the fan is to the room and the wind to the window. For convectors with up-cooling option - FOKS BREEZE - this is the ONLY CORRECT way of installation!
